Methodology

Every published figure cites its official source and date. Here is how the plates are produced.

Sources

All data comes from official public bases: INSEE (SIRENE, census, FILOSOFI), DILA (BODACC), DGFiP (DVF, local taxes), INPI (RNE), ADEME (EPC), ANCT (zonings), Cerema (Cartofriches), IGN (BD TOPO, isochrones). Fourteen bases combined, each cited with its update date on the page where it appears.

Cadence

Plates are recomputed monthly. The current edition is shown on every page (e.g. "EDITION 2026-06"). Successive editions are kept — that is what makes territorial trends measurable over time.

Rendering

Opportunity scores are rendered in levels and percentiles — never as a continuous score. We publish neither formulas nor weights: that is what prevents the ranking from being artificially "optimized". Scores measure regularities observed on past business cohorts, at area level — not the fate of a specific project.

Scope

Metropolitan France, at town level (36,675 towns). Zero volumes mean "no publication in the source" — for BODACC, a sale without a public notice does not appear in it.
